Okay, yesterday I was riding on the lake and I was going in 5th about half throttle, and all the sudden it got wicked boggy, and im like wtf it wouldnt pull the gears. And then I stopped to see what was up, and it like totally wouldnt rev. It will rev realllllly slow, and wotn hit the rev limiter. And when you give it gas, it falls like right on its face...I changed the plug, drained the bowl, checked for water in the gas, checked all the wires. Im thinking it might be the cdi..what do you guys think?

what kinda of mods ?
And how bout the gas tank vent make sure its not pluged
I am assuming you checked the spark plug as well.

And the airbox can get pluged with snow and ice. And it will run crappy to

I'm running mout of ideas here...The tank vents not plugged,airbox/filters clean, new sparkplug, drained the bowl, its gas, and not water.. I just got off the phone with the guy from my dealer, he said to try revving it with the choke on to see if it was starving for gas, and it still did it so thats not the problem..im clueless here..Possibly the CDI box?

Is it the stock cdi box? I ran an after market one and had the same problem when the bike got hot. Changed it , it was fine.

Maby the main jett fell out of place. And is sitting in the bottum of the bowl.
You can check by taking the 17mm plug out of the bottom of the card. You dont have to rotate the carb. It may help to undo the little wire tie under the carb and undo the idle knob.

ok what year is the machine and how often do u ride ? because it almost sounds like a bad TPS sensor on the card that senses the throttle position to tell the cdi box to advance the timing for (this crazy fool wants to go faster) there are three wires coming out of it one wire has a constant voltage (with enigine runnin) and two other wires have to be ohm tested ( electrical resistance ) to check for a smooth gradual increase in resistance to the current flow and that inturns tell the cdi box where the throttle is positioned at please take it to a dealer is u dont understand how to test electrical componets cause it can trun into a huge mess sometimes lookin for the gremlins!

Bah, got fooling around with her, and it got to where it would only idle, when I gave it gas it would die so I said wtf and took the top carb plate off, and found my needle, and two bolts, and spacer laying ontop of the slide!! Thankfully no damage was done, and everything is back to gether, and all is well now!!
